I love taking pictures especially of the kids to the point that they already get annoyed.  “Mom, picture again?!”  is what they always say.  I cannot help it, I want to capture all those precious times that will never happen again.  They grow up too fast and seizing those moments thru photos is my way of preserving memories.

As a result, I end up with a ton of pictures on my phone, hard drive, CDs, USB, and cloud.  It has always been in my checklist to make physical photo albums like the ones that my Mom used to create.  But, just thinking of organizing all the snapshots, having them printed, buying the album and scrapbooking materials does not encourage me to make one.  So I have been procrastinating for years.

5 Reasons Why I Create Photo Books using Photobook Philippines

Then a few years back, I discovered Photobook Philippines.  I downloaded their app on my laptop and tried making my very first Photobook.  From that day on, I use Photobook to make photo albums, and here are the reasons why:

1.       Printed Memories

Nothing beats printed hard copy of photos! I make photo albums mainly to preserve memories.  I love seeing the photos printed out, arranged, and organized in a lovely album that I can actually touch.  With the use of Photobook, I can actually do a scrapbook digitally and they print it out with all the captions, notes, journals, etc in photo form.  They print high definition photos, a bit darker than what you see on your laptop screen but still very nice. You also get to choose the type of paper that will be used to print your project. Once I get the hard copy, I can go look at them over and over without the need of opening a gadget and navigating thru millions of photos.

2.       Easy

I learned about Photobook Philippines in 2018. I’ve been using their Photobook Designer that I downloaded on my laptop.  It is very easy to navigate with drag and drop functions.  My kids even help me do them.  They also have a mobile app available and a “Make Me a Book” option where they would make the album for you.  I find the Photobook Designer best since I have more control in the over-all design of the album, I can put more photos and I can make the project more personal.  Oh, they also have readily available templates that you can use. How easy is that?

3.       Economical

Did I mention that I get to have the 40-page photobooks (6×6 softcover) for only P170 each?  Yes, you read that right, P170.  I pay P20 for a Metrodeal voucher which you can get here and P150 standard shipping fee.  Do note that the P150 shipping fee is for EACH Photobook that you will be ordering, combination shipping is not allowed. Hopefully those Photobook Vouchers will continue to be available in Metrodeal.

After all the memories, love, time and effort invested in one album, it becomes priceless. There are also other sizes and makes offered, I just prefer the compact one.

If you’d like to know how I used the vouchers and only paid for P170 all-in, here’s my 20-Step Guide for PHP20 Photobook.

4.       Convenient

Making it in the comfort of my home, having control over the design and layout, doing away with printing the photos separately, not having to buy the physical album and other scrapbooking materials, and to top it off, it’s delivered right at my doorstep makes it really convenient for me to do it over and over.  I’ve done quite a lot but I’m still planning to do some more.

5.       Fun

It’s really fun to make, you get to relive all the memories that the photos bring.  I get ideas from my kids and as we look at the photos, we reminisce those happy moments. The kids get to share what they remember of those captured events and we put those memories in the photo books using captions, speech bubbles, notes, and other stickers.  Making photo books has been a bonding activity for our family.
